Welcome to week 2 of our COVID MAD program!
In case you’re just joining us … no, we’re not mad at the whole Covid-19 coronavirus situation. Yes, it IS inconvenient in many ways. And, it has caused many people to suffer in terms of their health, jobs, or livelihoods.
Instead of focusing on negative things and what we DON’T have, though, we’re channeling our energy toward positive things and what we DO have – our local businesses. Join us in promoting the small businesses that are at the heart of our community. When we come together, we truly can Make A Difference and get through these challenging times.
COVID MAD Program Basics
You can read about the full details of the COVID MAD program here, but here are the basics of what we’re doing:
- Each week, we choose a local small business to feature.
- We buy (5) $50 gift cards from that business.
- We promote that business on our website, social media channels, and in our shop for that week.
- One of our customers wins one of the $50 gift cards for the featured business each day (Monday-Friday).
- It’s a win-win for all … our customers, local businesses, and our community!

Boulders on Broadway – Good Times with Great Food!
If you’ve never been to this bar and grill on West Broadway, right here in Tempe, you don’t know what you’re missing! At the center of this local gem are great food, craft beer, bike riding, adventure, and awesome people. From online ordering, to catering and local events, these guys do it all.
Of course, the Covid-19 crisis has changed the way restaurants, grills, and cafes currently do business. Instead of being able to eat in and enjoy the atmosphere, you will need to order in advance for pickup or delivery. But, when you do, you get to bring a piece of their atmosphere home with you AND support a local small business!
