Welcome to week 3 of our COVID MAD program! If you’re just joining us, you’re in for a real treat and some positive things happening right here!
COVID MAD stands for a Community of Valiant Individuals Determined to Make a Difference and it’s all about promoting the businesses that support our community. You can watch a video about the program here, but these are the basics:
- We choose a local business to feature each week.
- Then, we purchase (5) $50 gift cards from that business.
- One of our lucky customers wins one of those gift cards each day of the week, Monday through Friday.
- Watch our Facebook page for daily winner announcements and helpful information you may never have known about some local businesses right here in our community.
It’s a win-win for everyone involved … local businesses, our customers, and the whole community.
Family and taste bud friendly foods!
This week, our featured business will take your taste buds south of the border, without you even having to leave town. That is, unless you want to visit one of their 7 local locations that just happens to be outside your town. Let us introduce to you Manuel’s Mexican Restaurant & Cantina.
Manuel’s has been serving local families since 1964 … that’s over 50 years! And, some of the recipes they use have been passed down through generations. All 7 locations are operated by members of the Salazar family, meaning you’ll get the same great food and service at each one!
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Manuel’s has had to make some changes in how food is served, but there’s still a full menu of lip-smacking food to choose from, made from scratch daily just like they did in 1964. Now, you can call ahead for food to go, curbside pickup, delivery, or catering.
So, what’s it going to be today … enchiladas, taco salad, fajitas? Check out their to-go menu and place your order. Then, be sure to tell your friends how great the food is. We can all do our part keeping our local small businesses in business during these challenging times.
