Milestones are commonly referred to by people as: significant events or achievements. (Unlike millstones or kidney stones) Not to discredit kidney stones as a major event! However, our 2004 Honda Odyssey, now our company’s shuttle vehicle has surpassed most people’s expectations by accruing a whopping 230,000 miles on it! One could say that 230k isn’t such a great feat. They too have, or have had vehicles that made it beyond that mileage and more. That may be true, but this one has done all of that with the original engine, a/c compressor, alternator, starter, radiator, and most of all the original transmission! (Arguably the worst Honda has ever built)! Yes, the paint is fading on the roof and hood, but underneath all that, the vehicle drives and feels like new. The secret??? Maintenance, maintenance, maintenance! It’s not good luck, it’s not wishful thinking, it’s not hoping for the best. It is conscious, pre-meditated decision making that pays big dividends to the vehicle owners. I am, but have not always been a big believer in preventative maintenance, but as I have done my homework, and sharpened my pencil, I have realized thousands of dollars in savings over the “old school” way of thinking; “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”. Maintenance is the most economical way of saving yourself and your bank account thousands of dollars over your lifetime, (and your cars’). Let us show you the secret to lowering your auto repair costs and putting the extra cash in your retirement account!
